Its been a busy few weeks with numerous classic and vintage cars coming through the door.

Panel and repaint for a 39 Hudson,the client was over the moon with the result we were able to achieve he has since bought in another one of his treasures a Hudson Terra-plane which came out of the booth to-day painted a silver with black guards and looking very smart

A 46 ministry of transport coupe,and a 47 club coupe both had a small amount of panel work and full repaints

We have a Retro Caravan in the shop at the moment waiting on full repaint hopefully that will be out by the end of the month.

A 66 Fast-back Mustang,extensive panel-work and a full repaint.

65 Fast-back mustang,new breaking system.

This as well as the usual in and out jobs one gets insurance work,Blasting etc.

Congratulations!!!! to Shane Wigston(Tin-Man).

Shane competed very strongly once again through-out the weekend

against strong competition and taking out the final race of the Central Muscle Car Group 1.

As a business we are proud to be associated withTin-Man and his car,we sponsor panel/paint for Shane and were relieved at the end of the weekend was minimal well done Shane.

Unveiling the Menace at Auto & Aero

Luke Ennion,s ” Menace “was unveiled at our workshop a couple of weeks back on one of our Hot Rod blow out evenings. A large crowd gathered including a few well known hot rodding fanatics eager to see what Luke had come up with and were pleasantly surprised at what he’ accomplished.

Well done Luke.

annual rock’n'roll night

Our 5th rock’n'roll/rodders night was held at the hanger on the 22nd of march and once again the night was amazing.This has become a well known event and is always tops.

Classic Car Magazine

New Zealand’s very own Classic Car Magazine has published a fantastic feature on a 1966-67 caravan that was restored by our shop.

If you wish to take a look, it was in the December issue on page 25.

All restoration, refurbishment and paint work was done in house on site at our workshop here in Waiau Pa.

Whats happening at Auto and Aero

Being asked on many occasions by car clubs too many to mention, Auto and Aero have proven very popular for group visits. So after talking to staff and finding that they too would like there Saturdays free we have decided to explore the option of having an OPEN DAY held once annually.

Rock and Roll Night

The annual rock and roll/hanger doo was held for the fourth time at Auto & Aero on the 9 of March. The theme of this year’s annual event was the first initial of your name and plenty of great fancy dress ideas came through the hanger door. As usual Shane Orton gave a fantastic night of song and dance along with the very strange group called the “Jandal sisters”. Lots of fun was had as the pictures will show.

New Equipment

A new 8 foot folder was installed along with an electric sheet metal roller in the month of February 2013 at Auto & Aero Restorations. The new equipment will make an even better job than the present units and with the fabrication shop busy, it is a welcome addition to the plant.
